Respite & Day CareWhether you care for a relative, are a professional carer, or are in need of permanent care yourself, taking a break from your usual routine can do wonders for you.
As a carer you can relax, knowing that your relative, friend or patient is in a safe, welcoming environment with care tailored to their needs. A respite stay at Hyperion House gives many people the opportunity to experience first rate service amongst friendly and welcoming staff and residents. Respite stays are always short term. Having said that, the relationships that are built between the Home and resident give great reassurance to all concerned, especially if a longer stay ever becomes necessary. Respite care is also ideal for those who are well enough to leave hospital but not yet well enough to return home. Hyperion House also provides day care for residents living in the surrounding areas. They are encouraged to get involved with the home's community, enjoy the social activities, develop friendships as well as improve or maintain life skills and quality of life. Our day care services are beneficial for people who are finding it difficult living at home and also for carers to organise a break with the peace of mind that their loved one will be well cared for. Day care can be arranged for everyday of the week or just once a week, depending on your preference. |
Prior to admission, the Manager will arrange to meet you either in the convenience of your own home or at the Care Home. The Manager can then assess your care needs, start to get to know you and your likes and dislikes and then tailor a care plan to suit you.
What does it cost? Our Manager can advise you of the cost once the level of care and the length of stay you require has been established. In all circumstances, the fee will include 24 hour care, a comprehensive social activities programme, all meals and hotel and laundry services. Payment is usually required in advance or at the start of the stay. |
